A scalable bicycle helmet based on the Giro Remedy helmet. The model was reverse engineered in Pro/Engineer and then modified to be suitable for additive manufacture. The flexibility of additive manufacture means that by altering key dimensions based on measurements a helmet can be fitted to suit a riders head. By doing this the weight of the helmet can be dramatically reduced as it does not need to cover a range of head sizes.
